We’ve taken our best porter recipe and added a good measure of the famous Bamberg Rauchmalz (beechwood smoked malt). The smoke mingles beautifully with the rich, dark roasted chocolate flavours of the porter without being overpowering.

什么是烟熏啤酒？其实烟熏啤酒并不是什么疯狂的东西。大约250年前，所有的啤酒都是烟熏味的（因为麦芽都采用直火烘焙）。随着工业革命的进程，发展出了缓和烘焙麦芽的技术，也就不再有烟熏味了。但是，在德国的小城班贝格（Bamberg），直火烘焙麦芽的工艺一直得以保留至今，当地的酿酒师依然在酿造着享誉世界的烟熏风味啤酒。Big Smoke 就是以德式烟熏啤酒为灵感创作出来的一款烟熏波特啤酒。
